UCPB, Joint Issue Managers Complete P8.0-Billion NFA Bond Flotation bond issue to help NFA keep staple food prices, supply stable UCPB, with its joint issue managers AB Capital and Investment Corp., Deutsche Bank AG Manila Branch, Multinational Investment Bancorporation, SB Capital Investment Corp. and Philippine Commercial Capital Inc., successfully floated P8.0 billion worth of bonds for the National Food Authority (NFA). The NFA plays a central role in keeping the supply and prices of staple food like rice stable for the benefit of the ordinary Filipino consumers. The bond issue was intended mainly to boost the NFA's price and supply stabilization operations. Proceeds from the bond issue will finance the NFA's grains procurement, capital expenditures and general funding requirements as well as refinance its maturing loan obligations. To drum up interest in the offering, the issue managers held an investor's briefing at the UCPB corporate headquarters in Makati City with Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap as the key speaker (below, 1st from left).
